My name is Dain Stothoff. I am a 21 year old Beat-Boxer, in Bend, OR.

Beat-Boxing is a form of vocal percussion connected with hip hop culture (it has been called the fifth element of hip hop) although it is not limited to hip hop music. It primarily involves the art of producing drum beats, rhythm, and musical sounds using one's mouth, lips, tongue, voice, and more. It may also involve singing, vocal imitation of turntablism, the simulation of horns, strings, and other musical instruments. Therefore it could be said to be a genre of a cappella music although it can be employed alongside other instruments. It may have some historical connections with other vocal traditions such as scat singing and puirt a beul.

I have been learning and practicing this musical type for 8 years. This is a talent that will be endured in the future if practiced correctly today. Beat-Boxing is the art in which I plan on teaching everyone, and portray the art to kids. I have been learning beat boxing and the technique for 8 years. I am being recognized as a professional in only 8 years of the practice, so you can imagine what our children could sound like if exposed to this music opportunity at diapers, or at least a young age. I have a wife, a son and daughter that I hope to benefit with this talent. I plan on doing commercials, lessons, private parties, attractions, concerts, radio performances, and ultimately put out a grip of Record’s that will spark a new culture of music. My lessons are the best and are a once in a life time opportunity to learn some incredibly moving sounds; that you can create. Beat boxing is not only moving, but if you plan on being a vocalist you must learn the basics of mouth production. In terms of how will I move my mouth to make the sound I want, and what feels comfortable to me. It might only take one hour and you can be on your way to a fun experience that will change your life in a very positive way.

It may sound like a strange concept but is very unique and challenging. I will be able to teach you regardless of your current skills. Beat boxing is hard, embarrassing to learn, but is one of the most fun things you can master (especially with your body). Every thing takes time, but I will insightfully teach you the path in which you can success at.
